House Bill No. 5151 (Governor) BY Abney ENTITLED, AN ACT RELATING TO MAKING APPROPRIATIONS IN SUPPORT OF FY 2020
Senate Bill No. 20 BY Miller ENTITLED, AN ACT RELATING TO TAXATION -- LITTLE CIGAR TAX (Requires little cigars tax be imposed in the same manner as cigarette tax with twenty-five percent (25%) of revenue applied to smoking cessation programs and that little cigars be sold in packs of twenty (20) or more.)
Senate Bill No. 127 BY Quezada, Ciccone, Euer, Goodwin, Pearson ENTITLED, AN ACT RELATING TO TAXATION -- SALE AND USE TAXES -- LIABILITY AND COMPUTATION (Imposes 1% state tax on sale of hookah tobacco/vaping devices, accessories/supplies/replacement parts & 1% local hookah tobacco/vaping devices tax to be used by cities/towns for education of persons of the dangers of hookah tobacco/vaping device usage.)
House Bill No. 5581 BY Williams, Shanley, Diaz, Almeida, Alzate ENTITLED, AN ACT RELATING TO TAXATION -- SALE AND USE TAXES -- LIABILITY AND COMPUTATION (Imposes 1% state tax on sale of hookah tobacco/vaping devices, accessories/supplies/replacement parts & 1% local hookah tobacco/vaping devices tax to be used by cities/towns for education of persons of the dangers of hookah tobacco/vaping device usage.)
House Bill No. 5394 BY Azzinaro, Shekarchi, Corvese, Edwards, Kennedy ENTITLED, AN ACT RELATING TO TAXATION - CIGARETTE AND OTHER TOBACCO PRODUCTS TAX (Permits cigarette distributors to have partial rolls or sheets of unused tax stamps redeemed by the tax administrator for ninety-eight percent (98%) of their face value.)
House Bill No. 6106 BY Tobon, Barros, Diaz, Johnston, Blazejewski ENTITLED, AN ACT RELATING TO TAXATION -- CIGARETTE AND OTHER TOBACCO PRODUCTS TAX (Establishes the smokers' health assistance fund by imposing a fifteen cent ($0.15) surcharge on cigarettes and other nicotine delivery devices.)
