Zombie Walk 2017 in Honor of Kick Butts Day and World No Tobacco Day May 31, 2017, 3:30-7:30pm
Walk starts at the Providence Career & Technical Academy and ends at the RI Statehouse; After-party venue is pending at Dept of Administration Cafeteria on Capitol Hill.
Due to snow, the 4th annual Zombie Walk has been postponed to May 31, 2017. Rhode Island teens will gather and march across Downtown Providence in observance of National Kick Butts Day, an international day of youth action against Big Tobacco and World No Tobacco Day, an international day to draw attention to the widespread prevalence of tobacco use and its negative health effects. Teens dressed as zombies will send a powerful message to the public about the dangers of youth tobacco use, how to best prevent kids and teens from using tobacco products, and how these winning strategies will save lives from preventable tobacco-related cancers and other illnesses.
